EDOARDO ARDIZZONE

Biography
Edoardo Ardizzone is a composer, arranger and music producer for film, television and video games from Palermo, Italy.
Formerly an electric guitarist with a multifaceted taste, Edoardo developed quite early an appreciation for writing and arranging during the music making process, and then, while finishing high-school, enamored of film and video game OSTs, he chose the career of music composer. Eventually, his curiosity and passion have led him to explore the “symphonic” side of those soundtracks where he has quickly realised what sonic power, nuances, gestures and colours the orchestra is capable of.
Even considering the orchestral palette as a fundamental milestone for versatility and expression of a compositional toolbox, Edoardo’s music is still reminiscent of its beginnings in genres like post-rock or metal, thus he also employs small ensembles and synths without hesitation and whenever needed. Even though specializing in a specific style is of great importance, for him to be artistically open-minded is necessary to grow and enjoy the creative experience.
As a composer for media and VGMs, Edoardo takes great care of matching his vision to the project goal in order to achieve a successful sound identity and recognizability.
His strong enthusiasm for new projects, not to say collaborating and sharing ideas with other artists, has proven itself many times:
With a large group of Sicilian composers and performers, he joined the re-scoring workshop held by Dr. Peter Wegele, and the Goethe-Institut, of the movies “Die Abenteuer des Prinzen Achmed” in 2017 and “Menschen am Sonntag” in 2018; both projected and performed live at Cinema Vittorio de Seta in Palermo.
After concluding his musical education under the guidance of Maestri Marco Betta and Paolo Carlomè in 2022, Edoardo had his music performed by musicians Alessio Masi, Angelo Amico, and Miryam Palmisano, especially in occasion of events hosted by EXPO Comics and Games, Associazione Culturale Sicilia-Giappone or Piano City.
In 2023 and 2024 he participated in several game jams and in the 48 Hour Film Project 2023 with SaltGuys. Moreover, in 2023 Edoardo wrote the original soundtrack for “Datteri e Tè”, a short film directed by Andrea Lombardo and scripted by Lucia Incarbona, with the production of Panormos Officina Artistica and L’Incanto di Iris; premiered at Lux CineTeatro of Palermo, awarded by Festival CineCì CortiCulturalClassic and selected for Foggia Film Festival.
